Happy First Day of Summer! My favorite season! I went into Target the other day to pick up two things...and we all know how that story ends. I walked out having spent way more than I intended. But, everything I found was SO GOOD and so many things were on sale that I had to share them with you today! If you want some new items to boost you into this new season, run, don’t walk because these things will sell out, to Target! As always, if words are blue, you can click on them to shop!
Sonia Kashuk Marble Makeup Blender Sponge - I can not believe I am saying this but I like these sponges wayyyy better than any makeup sponge I’ve tried (Beauty Blender and Real Techniques). They are perfectly bouncy, don’t soak up too much product, and are only $10 for two sponges! Plus how sick is the design??
Profusion Cosmetics Trendsetter Contour Palette - My jaw hit the floor when I saw the brand Profusion on a Target makeup aisle. Profusion is a brand that used to be super hard to find, which is why I have never tried it. However, I have watched countless tutorials that use this specific palette for contouring and highlighting. It competes with high-end contour palettes in quality but beats them by far in price!
Good Chemistry Perfumes in Wild Child, Daydreamer, Gardenia Palm - This display caught my eye at Target because it was just so pretty! Then I picked up the colorfully decorated bottles to smell and was immediately sold! I had a hard time picking my top three favorites, but these three just smell like me. I like warm, earthy scents, but they also have a variety of fruity and fresh scents! These perfumes are also vegan, paraben-free, and made with essential oils. Oh, and they are only $25!!
Sonia Kashuk Quick-Clean Dry Brush Spray - This is what I went into Target for!! This is a makeup brush cleaning spray. You spray it on the brush, then wipe the brush off on a paper towel, and BOOM, your brush is clean AND dry. This changes the game for me.
Target has BOGO 50% off bathing suits right now!!
Gingham Tie Shoulder One Piece - Along with everyone else, I am loving gingham print this summer. This gingham one-piece is so flattering! When I first saw it, I thought the rouching would look old-lady, but it actually makes me look like a have a figure! The low neckline also makes this bathing suit fun and flirty!
Shoulder Tie Bralette Bikini - The pictures on the Target website don’t do justice to how pink this bathing suit is. It is that vibrant pink that automatically makes you look 10x tanner! I also love the bows on the shoulder.
Social Angel Floral Triangle Bikini - This is my favorite bikini I own this summer! I don’t know what I love more, the pom-poms or the fact that the cups have sewn-in pads (that way they don’t flimsy, in the wrong places, etc)!
Michaela Pumps - These are my most-worn shoes this season! The low heel makes them perfect for dressing up and wearing to an event or just walking around downtown. They are super comfortable too! It took me one wear to break them in, and now they are my go-tos. You can see me wearing them in this post here.
Ayana Raffia Tassel Slide Sandals - These are so fun!! I love the colors of the tassels because the assortment makes them wearable with so many pieces. Click on the link and scroll down to see how other people styled them! Truly inspiring!
Bryn Asymmetrical Slide Sandals - You know when you see something you like and your heart starts to beat really fast? That happened to me with these. Love at first sight. Slide sandals are popular this season, and in my opinion, animal print is a neutral and therefore always popular and goes with everything.
Jena Lace Up Sneakers Pink - This was the other item I ran into Target for! I have an upcoming trip to NYC and needed a pair of comfortable sneakers to walk around in but still look cute at the same time (bc I might run into Harry Styles or Chuck Bass, right?). I saw these online and could not get to Target fast enough. Online, it says they are $19.99, but in store, mine were $13.78!! I could not believe it!
Performance Athletic Shoes C9 Champion Blush - I love these tennis shoes!! The blush color is so pretty and the mix of material makes them unique! You can’t tell in the picture, but the part where the fabric crosses is actually a silky-material, making these super fashionable and feminine! They are also cushion-y comfortable (although I haven’t worked out in them yet).
Jena Lace Up Sneakers Cognac - These are the same sneakers as the pink sneakers, but these are made of a woven cognac fabric. Before seeing these in store, I looked at pictures of how people styled them on target.com and fell in love! These will look great with shorts or distressed denim jeans! They will also carry over through all seasons!
Target was also having BOGO 50% off dresses, and I couldn’t keep myself from browsing, especially since it is wedding season! With all of the wedding events in mind, I tried to pick up only ones that would be appropriate for these events.
Polka Dot Sleeveless Metallic Smocked Dress - This one might be a little too close to white to wear to a wedding/shower (unless you're the bride), but I love the metallic dots on them! They are various colors of gold and rose gold, which will pop with your summer tan!
Sleeveless Ruffle Midi Dress - Online this dress is $32.99, but in store it was only $23.78! The fabric of this dress is a flow-y material so you could dress it up or down! It's also breezy, helping to keep you as cool as possible!
Sleeveless Ruffle Midi Wrap Dress - This dress is perfect for all wedding dress codes!! Just add some blingy jewelry and heels, and you are black-tie ready. Or dress it down like they did in the picture for a date night!
Sleeveless Ruffle Hem Maxi Tank Dress - I think this dress is perfect for any wedding dress code as well, but it could also work for your Fourth of July event! This blue color is my absolute favorite color.
Straw Tote Handbag - I received this beach bag as a graduation present and it could not be more perfect! It's huge! It could fit two beach towels and all your beach entertainment easily! What I love most about it is how structured it is. I hate floppy beach bags as they make finding things difficult. This one will keep its shape and has sturdy leather straps!
Jayden Backpack Handbag - This bag will be perfect for my NYC trip! It’s a backpack that can also be carried as a purse if you want! It’s big enough to fit everything I will need, but small enough to not be a bulky book bag. A must for any traveler!
2018-2019 Day Designer Planner - When I first heard about Day Designers last year, I said I would never get one. These planners have the hours between 6am-8pm listed so you can fill in whatever you have going on during daylight. I thought having one would make me inflexible, but now as I start dental school and my schedule will be ever changing, a planner like this is necessary! Plus they are a great price for such a useful tool! Only $10-$20!
That’s all for this Target haul! Let me know if you have found any must buys at Target recently!
